The local, Australian, and global transtion scenes. In a nutshell, Transition Towns is about preparing our land, towns and cities for life after cheap oil and (pretty drastic) climate change. It will be life, Jim, but not as we know it. Most food and energy will be produced much closer to home than it is now.

We won't all be dancing around maypoles - there will be a lot of digging deep, using less, and adapting to changes we can only imagine. Only by working together with a real sense of urgency can we survive this century's equation of 50% more people on a hot and wild planet. Be it pollution, conflict resolution, or inequality, we really need to clean up our act. So let's get into it!
